近年来访日外国游客急剧增加，而外国游客在生病或发生意外情况下报警时，语言沟通障碍成为日本相关部门迅速对应的一个难题。为此，日本政府将研究开发搭载自动翻译系统的急救车。将使自动翻译系统将可以对应中文、英文等外语。
